YES! Space Science Center in Kuwait!!

Last Monday was the last day of Astronomy Day at Kuwait Science Club. So I gave a presentation about "Space Science Learning Center | Education & Public Outreach Program" at the Science Club. Yes!!! Finally my dream will come true [not like last summer when I got turned down]. I will be in charge and director of the new space science center and put a 5 year plan for space programs for students, members and adults. Al-Ujeri, the most famous astronomer in Kuwait, was present and I hoped that he comment on my presentation and my space plans. Unfornatly, he didn't hear a word what I said. He is such an old man and have hearing problems.

I was surprise to know that Kuwait University has the first Cosmic Ray Telescope (Moun Telescope) in Middle East. I met with Dr. Ismail Sabbah who dose prediction of Cornal Mass Ejections (CMEs) with cosmic rays and Remote Sensing of desert dust.

I hope 7-10 years we will send the first Kuwaiti satellite, build spaceport or send the first Kuwaiti astronaut (pick me, please!)

Here is a brief about my presentation:

I wasn't aware of it but congratulations dear. When is it going to be set? Who is sponsoring it? What are the goals of the center and how deep will you go in space science, is it just astronomy or space flight in general? If you need any volunteers, you can consider me? I would surely be grateful. See you. Amna

Congratulations!! Many who try to be an astronaut do not succeed on their first attempt, but they continue working and often get selected to be an astronaut on their second or third try. Never give up and as you have just shown, anything can happen!!

I had a similar experience with Dr. Ismail Sabbah. I hadn't Known that Kuwait University has such a telescope. But after I had met Dr. Sabbah I was really surprised. I am really proud of such a doctor, such a university and such a telescope.
